After upgrading to Lion on my 2010 11", when running full screen apps I noticed that there's a slightly dark shadow running across the entire bottom edge of my screen. It almost looks like a border, and I'm not sure if it's meant to be that way or if it's just that the backlight is darker there. I never noticed this before, but I'm thinking this was because I leave the dock unhidden on the bottom. I'm curious if anyone else has this, or if I'm just being a little too OCD, which is entirely possible!

Well it's a bit hard to tell with no pictures or anything but one way to be sure it's bit hardware related is to make a screenshot of your desktop.
Then when viewing the screenshot you have to drag the bottom to about halfway up your screen.
If you still see the bottom of your screenshot as darker it's software related, if it's not it's hardware related.

It's not rare for laptopscreens to have backlight bleeding so if t bothers you a lot you could always take it back :)

With mine it's actually a darkness around the entire edge, not just the bottom. More like a shadowing than light bleeding. Kind of like a subtle vignetting effect, it's not horrible and I can live with it, but it's there.

I actually got a MacBook Air replaced yesterday. Had it with me and was using it in an Apple Store while I was waiting for a genius to look at my iPhone. A genius walked past and said I can see your issues with your MacBook Air. Shadowing and a dead pixel(Which I never noticed). He took out back and brought a brand new one out.

Same here. The image from the panel is fantastic, just slightly noticeable bleed along the bottom. I can only really see it if I have a white image at the bottom.

What are you thinking of doing about it Acronyc? I'm thinking I'm being slightly OCD too and looking for a little solidarity! You gonna forget about it or take it in?

The other factor in this is that I have the samsung drive - would be a little bit gutted to take it in and get a toshiba in replacement, haha!
