iPhone Dark mode on OLED vs. non-OLED screen

I currently have an Iphone X. I'll likely upgrade due to being close to the storage unit. I'm considering the XR due to the bigger screen and battery. But I was hoping to get feedback from the folks beta testing on how it looks on an OLED screen vs. a LCD screen...

Dark Mode is nice on the iPhone X. With OLED, you have the battery advantage. With LCD, its just cosmetic. I've noticed significant battery improvement. With the iOS 13.1 beta 2, i took my iphone off the charger at 3M with 81%, by 9 PM it was as 78%.

on OLED you’ll get true blacks and the battery savings, but you’ll also get OLED tearing effects (when scrolling). I think the pros outweigh the cons with OLED but it might be different for you.

This one you can call true black, what you get on a phone display of any kind is far from black.

I bought an XR for my Mum and it is really nice device.

My daughter has an XR. It's a bit heavier/chunkier. But the screen is bigger and the battery life is incredible. Though the announcement about the Pro's battery and trade in offer may change my mind...
