Hi,

On iOS I set Night Shift up to be from 11 pm to 7 am and Dark Mode to activate between sunset and sunrise. On macOS it seems like this can't be done. Dark Mode seems to be coupled to the Night Shift schedule. Or am I just missing a setting? I really would like to be able to have separate schedules for these two settings.

Thanks and best wishes
Chris

I'm also trying to figure this out. They seem to be linked. I get the concept, but in my case, I want the dark menus once it's dark outside but I still have hours of being wide awake after it gets dark, especially in winter, and I don't want my color temp of my monitor going warm until later at night. I can't see why there wouldn't be an option, even if buried deep, to accommodate this. So...bump.

Yup, completely not understandable for me why on iOS there is the possibility to have 2 schedules and on macOS there isn’t :( However I found a solution using a third-party app. It’s called Night Owl and let’s you set a custom schedule for Dark Mode. I have some UI bugs but the core functionality seems to work fine.

It's been inconsistent for me too. It activates night shift at sunset like it's supposed to but it won't go dark until well after 7-8 PM at the least, or never in some cases. Toggling between Light/Auto makes it turn on in Auto. You see it revert properly after. Not sure why it's so buggy.
