Dark Mode with Reduced Translucency - Anyone else!

Was really looking forward to Yosemite for the Dark mode (I hated having a white bar at the top of my second display (in Mavericks) - So distracting!

Im also not liking to Translucency - So like many, I've reduced in in Accessibility. Bit disappointing, but there seem to be little bugs all over;

Anyone else picked up on these? I know its not the biggest problem in the world, just an annoyance really. Apple pride themselves on being beautiful . . . Seems like they get more sloppy with each release!

i love the black translucent menus, but...just tried it, and same issue here.

Yeah, this was reported often during the beta by people. The fact they haven't fixed something so obvious almost makes me think it's deliberate.

It's hard to believe this bothers people so much. I mean, there are users swearing in threads over this one thing. Is everyone turning the volume up and down on their Macs all day long?

Here's a temporary fix: close your eyes while you adjust the volume in reduced transparency mode. Open your eyes when the adjustment is done. Problem solved.

I think they are spreading themselves too thin and perhaps moved back to iOS development, excusing the pun.

I, along with many others I'm sure, reported this bug during beta testing so it's only a matter of time.

Its the same in non dark mode. Its ugly and annoying. Maybe there is a tweaker who can fix it? or a terminal command to enable translucency in volume and brightness hud only?

I would think that bugs like this are assigned the lowest priority, after all, its an accessibility setting for vision impaired people and does not effect the normal operation of the system.

yea cause that's the biggest problem with yosemite that requires tweaking right now..
