Instead of 3g or E for edge. Im getting this blue dot. I have a 3gs JB and unlocked phone. I use winterboard. And have an incase powerslider. Can this cause Dfc

I get this from time to time on my iPhone 3GS without a jailbreak. Its like a little blue circle. I have been lead to believe that it is when the phone is determining the best signal for the time being. I'd like to know if anyone else has a better answer to the problem.

Mine seems to bounce to that on a regular basis. Than lose the signal. I wonder if i have a pro lem with my phone.

It seems its the incase powerslider i just purchased. Seems to drop my calls. as well as data signal.

To be fair, the majority of the area I live in is only covered by GPRS, it's only really the cities that have EDGE (I still have a 2G iPhone). There are the occasional hotspots where the E will appear, but most of my area is GPRS only. It works fine for emails, IM+ and things like that, just don't try browsing on it :p

I know how it feels... I too an using original iPhone, and it's a pain to see only GPRS. EDGE is like once a week at the most.
