So I'm an iPad Air 2 user and haven't been using it much until last year. It was needed for some work and I noticed it had a password that I put before I stopped using it. Couldn't remember it so did a factory reset on the iPad. It was the first reset I did on that iPad. I knew I could recover the files and stuff in it after a factory reset by using iTunes so I left it unrecovered. After some time someone puts a password in it again thinking the same thing I thought (the one with iTunes) and it is needed again. I open the iPad, don't know the password, factory reset it again, open it and connect it to iTunes to recover the files. I recover it back to its form after I did the first reset (so it got recovered to the time I used it for work) and when I try to recover it again to save the files before the first reset, (it had some files and photos in it before it had a password) I couldn't find a reset option on iTunes or anything like that. Is it possible to recover files that got reset twice? And what do I need to use to recover them?

You should check within iTunes to see if the backup is still on disk and how many there are. It could be possible that after the first reset the old backup was overwritten.

Ya might want to look at imazing to browse what’s in the various backups and recover what you need from each one? Haven’t used it in years, but it used to be pretty nifty!

Somewhere!
iMazing will allow you to browse for and export any files you want. I have used the app for years and it works wonders.
