So now that we have apps that can work with documents on the iPhone, has Apple included some kind of home directory functionality on the iPhone/Touch so that app developers can save documents somewhere and get them synced to a computer via iTunes where a desktop app can then access them?
I hope they don't plan to force users to buy MobileMe to get documents off the iPhone. I'd prefer just a selectable directory on my Mac (or windows) user directory that I can use to get documents back and forth.
So far the only data app I've installed is Pocketpedia, which uses wifi to sync data between it and Bookpedia and DBDpedia. Kind of a cumbersome process and not automatic, so I was wondering if those with knowledge of the App development process know if something is there or in the works?
