I know this is a long shot but here goes anyway.

I have a LG VX6100 and I recently purchased DataPilot w/USB cable. The purpose was mainly to create my own ringtones and copy them to my phone. The problem is that when I copy over the ringtone file it won't play on the phone.

The spec's on the MP3 file is as follows:

116KB @ 48KBS in mono.

Now, I have written to the company but there support SUCKS. I've tried nut they just don't respond.

I would appreciate it if anyone can give some guidence.

Thanks!

Thank YOU for the links! Very helpful.

I wound up downloading a FREE application called "BitPim" and it did a great job of transferring my MP3 ringtones to the phone. After some reworking with bitrates, I got the MP3 to play loud enough and they sound GREAT! Can't believe I wasted my money on DataPilot. BitPim, may not look as nice but it works just fine and it's Free to boot.

Thanks again!
