For example here is the folder structure;

Code:
Desktop/
   └── TestParent/
          └── SubFolder/ <- modified today

When I modify something in the sub folder or add a file, the sub folder Date Modified timestamp changes as excepted. However, TestParent does not. If I'm not mistaken it has always worked that way and only until recently did my Mac start behaving different.

I am running the latest version of Sequoia on a M3 Ultra Mac Studio, everything on the system seems normal except this. I am running Synology Drive client to sync my documents folder to my NAS, however when I turn it off from running the same issue occurs.

Anyone else have this issue?

I have an older machine here running 12.7.6 and it behaves the way you describe, that is, SubFolder picks up the modification date but TestParent does not. I suspect it's "always" been like this.

PS. I've put code tags around the folder structure in your post so that it looks how you intended instead of seemingly showing both directly under Desktop :)
