My date&time and my battery indicator on the menu bar shifted positions...is there anyway I can change it so that my date&time is to the very right on my menu bar?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
press command (the apple key) and drag the icons in the menu bar however you want.
Have you tried unchecking the "show battery status in menubar" and rechecking it? Have you tried restarting?
Man, that's neat. I never knew that.
I never knew that either, but it only works for OS X menu icons. If you have programs that use menu icons, they are stuck where they are.
Here is an obligatory menu bar picture.

In order:
Adium, Caffeine, Users, Airport, Menu, Meters, Bluetooth, Battery, MenuCalendarClock iCal, Spotlight
Adium changes color with my status, Airport and Bluethooth change colors with signal strenght/connection, Battery changes with charge.
Actually I tried it on my menubar and some of the third part apps I have up there can be moved by it such as Menumeters.

How did you get your Airport and Bluetooth icons to change colour? Mine just remain black all the time as far as I can tell (Macbook running 10.4.10).
Thanks, Alec

I'm so glad to have learned this!! I hated how my bluetooth icon moved farther over to the left than extra menubar stuff I had added later. I wanted all the stock stuff to be together and the extra stuff on the left. Now it can.
Question, if you move something using command drag does it stay like that after restart or does it go back to the way it was before?
I used Photoshop and changed the system files for them.
