she's young and not even going to upgrade her ipod touch to ios 5 but she got a few free apps today and they automatically showed up on my phone. She doesn't even have icloud or anything on her ipod (obv). Any way to avoid this? If I download apps will they go to hers??? even if she doesn't have icloud or ios 5?

youll get hers on ios 5 however if shes not on ios 5 she wont get yours unless she gos into the app store and chooses to download them. on yours you can turn off autodownloads in store settings.

Every person should have their own apple id. If you download apps they will go to hers just like you said.

And why in the world would you not update her ipod to a free iOS 5 update?
