Arguably my favourite artist around at the moment. I love his chilidsh humour (not toilet, just innocent) and I seem to work in the same way as he does, a lot of thought put into the idea and then execute it quickly - for example, whilst putting my folio together for art school the longest I spent on making any of my works was around an hour which included letting the paint dry.

Anyway, here's a link to his site and here's the cover to his latest (I think) book:

Looks like the style of Paul Davis, strangely grown up child like observations, some of it spot on.

for: a nice break from formal design
against: everyone's having a nice break from formal design

Alas, like Davis, I would be impressed if the person was actually a child.

GOD. I am SO grumpy lately!!!!
please accept my apologies

I'm also a big fan of Shrigley's work. Somewhere along the line I found a book of postcards by him. Almost every one made me laugh.

Although I might argue against the "toilet humor" comments. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for toilet humor. But a couple of my favorites from this book include "Fu@& the world" and "Orgy during an earthquake". :D

Here's his site (I didn't notice it posted yet, but might have just missed it):

This is my favourite piece by him.
