Hi All,

I am using the following equipment and software: late 2021 MBP16, MacOS 12.6 and Davinci Resolve Studio (DRS) 18.0.4.

After DRS is open for awhile, I suddenly lose the ability to use a the two figure drag gesture on the trackpad in DRS only--the two finger drag continues to work in other applications. To restore the two finger drag gesture, I must close DRS and restart the application. I have also restarted the MBP, but this does not help as the two finger drag gesture is lost again.

Other than submit a bug report to Black Magic Design (which I have done), does anyone have a suggestion for me?

I have had this issue when the computer goes to sleep and then I wake it up—sometimes this happens, but you're talking about in the middle of editing it stops working?

Hi RM5,

Both were happening. Two finger drag would stop functioning in the middle of an edit and after going to sleep. Though, I think I may have found a solution. In MacOS, I unchecked two-finger rotation--don't use it anyways. Since I made this change, the two finger drag continues to function even if the machine goes to sleep. Try it and let me know if it works for you.

Glad you found a solution! Maybe later today when I'm editing I can test two finger rotation on/off and see if it makes a difference. I always have the MacBook plugged in when editing and it rarely ever goes to sleep, but I'll intentionally do that and see what happens.

After 12 hours of not losing two-finger drag gesture, I have now resumed losing this capability. Very disappointed!
