iPad Pro Day 1 Nov 7th Walk In what are my chances ?

Long story short I have a bunch of giftcards I need to get rid of.
So my plan is to walk in to an Apple store Nov 7th and buy a Space Grey 64GB iPad Pro $799 WiFi model.

What are my chances of success.

The order and ship dates have slipped past November 21 and thats too long to wait.
 
I would say high. I mean they are likely to have most of the models in stock for walking in users. If you get in the store early in the morning you may buy the model you are looking for.
 
Heh "too long to wait". Will you die before the 21st of November?

(aware that this comment could well backfire if the OP has any sort of terminal illness :-|)

You’ll get one if you go in the morning. Perhaps later too, given the price hike.

I walked in and out with the 2017 12.9 on launch day last year. I went before work (around 7:30 a.m.)
 
I feel like most people who bought them/want them immediately have preordered. They’re definitely not like the iPhones releases.
 
I plan on buying mine the Saturday of launch week. Probably will purchase first in the AM through the app.

If Apple is out, the local Best Buy’s, Walmart’s and Targets it is.

Someone will have one.
 
Your chances will probably increase the higher spec you want. My experience of walk-in purchases is the lower cost items sell out first.

Do you know if Apple Stores will open at the standard 10AM time or they will open early at 8AM? Thanks

My experience last year was quite opposite. They keep plenty of stock of lower configs. 512GB, I couldn't find by the time I got off from work (2 Apple Stores, 1 Best Buy, 1 Target, 1 AT&T). The CSR at the local AT&T store said they didn't even get any 512GB models. Just 64GB and a few 256GB.
 
I think you will have a great chance. That's my plan. By the time I went to pre-order it was already pushed back. I will either walk into he store when they open, or check for online order for pick up. Only thing are they opening early for launch?
 
Given the long wait I might just wait until cyber monday just in case their are deals and get one
 
I just hope the new Pencil isn't the fiasco the original one was. I had to stand in line at the Apple Store multiple days in a row until stock finally came in. Let's hope they fixed the accessory shortage so it's not like original Pencil launch. :/

Just order it through whatever store your buying from for pick up that day. Then one will be held for you. I preordered mine through Best Buy already for pick up Wednesday (Launch Day)

Dont know which want I want, need to go in store to play with it. Would be nice if the Apple stores got the display's set up the day after the announcement and not the day of the launch.
