This is a STEAM game, Day of Defeat, I wanna buy it. However, when I went to the purchase page..beside the icon it has a windows logo... is this just there or will it work on a MAC?

Anyone play/know?

Day of Defeat Source is available for Mac, but not the original. If you want to play the original it should work fine in Crossover.

Take note that Days of Defeat Source is 75% off right now, price: 2.50$

I have no interest for that game, but I figured that for the price of a double espresso it's hard to be disappointed. Downloading it atm, it's about 1 gig.

I admin for eGO (edgegamers.org) and play DOD:S all the time. It's "old school" FPS but its built on top of the Half-Life 2 engine.

It runs fine on a Mac with the proper settings using Steam OSX or via the Windows version under Bootcamp. I do get an occasional hiccup when playing the native Mac version but it goes away if you turn off AA and revert to medium rather than high settings for details, shaders, etc.

Great game, come join one of our servers sometime....all servers linked from our home page.

The recent iMac will run it in highest settings with 16x filtering and 4x antialias in 1440p. It's less intensive graphically than Left 4 Dead 2 or HL2 for example (where antialias slows down the game too much at that resolution), also on the source engine.
