I have a router hooked up to my DSL modem and it is distributing the DSL connection. The problem is my Mac can't seem to keep a stable connection through DCHP. Safari keeps saying "you are not connected to the Internet". I suspect it's my ethernet cable but I'm not sure. Anyone have any idea what's wrong?

sorry meant DHCP. i cant edit for some reason the link isnt working it's probably my internet again.

Just to rule out configuration problems with you mac you should try a different cable. If it works fine then you're all set. Do you have any other computers on the router? If so, next time your internet stops working on your Mav, try it on a different computer on the network as soon as possible. It could also be your DSL connection or your router causing the connectivity issues.

I think it's the cable because i tried another one and it worked great. It's strange though, it's on and off on the bad cable. It's working fine now but it wasn't working at all before.
