My logic board just died on my mini. Any suggestions on how to replace the board or just the machine in general? I used it mostly to stream movies and music to my ATV and around the house.

Why do you think it is the L B ? How old is your machine?

if the machine is not under apple care sell it on ebay as is for parts and buy a new machine.

logic board replacement IF NEEDED IS TOO EXPENSIVE FOR A MAC MINI Selling the machine as is on ebay will yield some money to help pay for a new machine. Dead mac minis can sell for 200.

I had a buddy with a mini that the motherboard died. We looked around for replacements and they all ran 400+. There are sellers on eBay that state they can fix for $200 but we figured even at that Price he was better off just replacing his 4 year old mini.

I took it to a Authorized Mac technician, and they diagnosed it as a LB. I may go the e-bay route. I just don't have the $600 for a new one. As it was I had purchased this used for just $350, and loved its versatility. It was a 2010 mac mini.

You purchased a 2010 Mac Mini for $350 ?

I have a 2010 Mini with the 2.66 which is under warranty until 8-24-2012, I was thinking of taking it a part for the Superdrive and the top cover, and selling the rest for parts, hit me up with a PM if you are interested in the 2010 2.66 LB, I might be able to help your cause.

well the ebay guy had good feedback. but if you could get the 2.66 from wicked1 for around a similar price it might be worth it. ifixit.com has complete pictures of assembly and dis-assembly step by step.
