Not to beat a dead theme to death, but any ideas on why my Mac Mini is not booting up at all? My A1176 was running fine on the original 1.8 Core Duo, but I got the parts and went ahead and went for the upgrade:

Upgraded CPU to Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz
Upgraded RAM to 2GB
Upgraded HD to 500GB WD Scorpio

Followed directions on ifixit, which were great and thorough. Completed the processor upgrade too, despite trepidation. Reassembled carefully (actually twice for troubleshooting)

Now nothing: or almost nothing... No chime, no video, no HD reads. Mouse lights up at power on, fan starts, and HD spins up, but no LEDs and no image at all.

Did the SMC reset, disassembled and reseated all components and cables, reinstalled old RAM. No luck. Do you think I damaged the MB, or maybe got a bad (used) CPU? I'd hate to go through the CPU install again!
