I'm wondering, since its a phone and sending it out for repair will mean that i will be away from communication for up to a week, do you think they'll just replace it with a brand new one?

Its just one pixel, but i watch movies on the phone and its a PITA

Yes, some people have had their iPhone replaced for a dead pixel right in the Apple store.

i don't have an applestore near buy, driving an hour is a stretch.

From my experience, bringing it into the store, they will usually just replace the screen, and it takes a couple of minutes. If you send it to them in the mail however, they will replace the whole phone

Well, they replaced the screen only, took 5 minutes....
for some reason though the phone feels a bit faster

It was a new policy done over summer that they can replace the screens on the spot. I had a dead pixel and they took the phone in the back for 10-15 min and came out with a new screen on my phone for free. They did a great job.

it worked out nicely, because my screen actually had 2 scratches on it, and so now i got a brand new one.
kind of think of it, aren't the screens supposed to be scratch free?

i was hoping to get some real world answers, I'm sure that others went through similar experiences...

They wouldn't for my one dead pixel. But maybe I just got an a$$. I feel that if I pay 300 bucks for a product it should be the same 300 dollar product someone with no dead pixels gets. Just my opinion tho.

oh wow. I havent tried since last winter...maybe I'll have to try again if they simply replace the screen and not the whole phone. Congrats btw.

that's how it feels, felt a bit snappier. Are you judging my ability to notice if something feels more responsive?

and what's with your attitude bub?

lol. it's all in your head!

But I'm glad they were able to did the screen swap for you quickly!

They replaced one of mine due to a dead pixel. As soon as the genius saw it, it was a done deal. They were really cool about it.
