Hello,

I have an iMac 20'' - using it for 8 months.

I noticed 2 dead pixels on the display. Is it normal (two)? What is an acceptable number of dead pixels?

And maybe the most important question: is there anything to prevent dead pixels?

Thanks.

Apple will not replace any display without 7 dead pixels. I have one dead pixel on my MacBook, but Apple says that every single display has a dead pixel or two. There is nothing you can do to stop dead pixels, but this is OK, and there is nothing you can do.

What is an acceptable number of dead pixels? Ten?
Is there anything to prevent dead pixels?

Thanks.

Re:

I have not had one on my Imac yet and it is a few years old. It will be fine. Just hope you don't get a bunch. I have a Tv that has like 11 and it is only 1.5 year old.
