My iPad is a 1st Batch iPad and I finally noticed 3 dead pixels right in the middle of the screen. Noticed them right after removing my Power Support Anti-Glare overlay, which probably explains why I did't notice them earlier.

Anyways will Apple do a swap, even after this long?

Would appreciate an answer soon, I have an appointment at the Apple Store later today.

UPDATE:

NEW IPAD!!!

Thanks everyone!

Please close thread.

Yes, I bought a 23 inch display like 6 years ago when they were the bomb, it had a couple dead pixels and I returned it like 2 weeks later no prob.

Really depends on the "genius" you end up talking to. Luck of the draw it sometimes seems. If you look closely and can actually find some dust under the screen, you'll have a better chance of a quick swap out.

Oh forgot to mention that I do have one dust particle under the glass. So it's an easy swap then?

Dead pixels + dust particles under the screen = swap for a new one.

Just call in advance to make sure they have your specific size model in stock.

WTF!!!

Woke up this morning and the Backlight on replacement iPad was dead. Quickly set-up an appointment @ the Apple Store today. In the end, I got my second iPad replacement in as man days.

AWESOME!!!
