I've got about 6 dead pixels on my UK iPhone, should I return it?

It will probably annoy me in time, they're only noticeable on solid black, but I've still noticed them quite a bit just in the first 3 hours!

Will O2 swap it?

hi, dead pixels are very very anoying, i have 2 on my macbook. i tryed to have the screen replaced but they said no...

i strongly suggest getting the matter dealt with asap, and while it may seem tight, i suggest going to a store with a dim looking worker who wont ask any questions! and if that fails, just go round every local o2/carphonewarehouse/applestore, untill the problem is sorted.

best of luck.

six is quite a lot considering the small size of the screen. i only had one, and apple replaced it with a new one on the spot. i'd take yours back and get another.

Yeah, it is annoying me a bit already, just because I know where they are, and also 2 are very close together which makes it look worse.

I guess I have to take it back to an O2 store (where I bought it tonight), rather than an Apple store?

I got my phone at the Glasgow Apple Store and it had 4 dead pixels. I took it back about 3 hours later and they just swapped it out for a new one. They told me it was the first iPhone return they had processed.

If I were you I'd get it changed straight away. Dead pixels just get more and more annoying over time as you keep noticing them.

I think that it, when it comes to fixing dead pixels, it depends on the class of the device. Some companies will say if the screen has more than 10 dead pixels, then we'll replace it. Some have a zero tolerance for dead pixels. Read this article here

I took mine back to O2 this morning with one stuck pixel, they replaced it without any argument.

I've discovered 3 dead pixels on my iPhone. Now I know where they are it's going to really irritate me. I purchased my phone from the Carphone Warehouse, should I take it back there, or can I go to any O2/Apple store?

Also, what's the process for switching Sim Cards/re-activating the new iPhone? If I swap it at the CPW, how does my replacement iPhone work?

I'd take it back to CPW first.... then you have the Apple Store to fall back on- just tell the A-Store that CPW said they were responsible for all "technical" issues.
