The problem i've been encoutering for a while is that when i try an open a newly dowloaded program, it doesn't open properly. The most current example is, i'm trying to upload my sims 2 game onto my apple macbook, but when i click on it to try and download it says , "Their is no defualt application" .... "Choos Application (To Open It With). Other times when i click on the program liek sims 2 instead of that message poping up, it sends me directly to IPhoto, and says how it can't open sime 2.

Does anyone know how to fix this very frustrating problem???

Much appreciated

Very cool app. I gave it a try and it's very useful. I wish this functionality was built in.

You can also right click on a file and choose 'Get Info.' In the new window that pops up look for 'Open With' and choose an app to open that file with.

Alas, that wouldn't help him in this case, if I understand correctly, as the system is not recognizing an app as an app, but instead considering it to be a document.

It sounds to me like it's a corrupted file.

When you say you tried to upload it, where were you uploading it from? How were you uploading it?

A little more info and maybe help is forth coming!
