I'm so on board with this idea. No way they'd give in to a jailbreak dev though. Apple is way too stubborn.

I was hoping for lockinfo too. It would be great to have today to-do, reminder, weather, or note on the lockinfo rather than unlock and going there .. save some time.

Apple doesn't have to do anything, really. If they'd quit fighting the jailbreak community everyone would win. Apple will have the draconian control over the iPhone they want for the "grandmother" users, and the tech nerds can still jailbreak to use applications outside of the sandbox. Yet Apple hates the jailbreak community and will make it harder and harder for end users to enjoy really using their phone's hardware to its full potential.
