I am beyond stressed at this moment. So earlier this I ran into an issue with T-mobile trying to upgrade my device. Long story short, they required BOTH my License (I have) and my physical Social security card (i don't have). Couldn't upgrade, that was fine.....however, before leaving the store, they literally suspended my service entirely. Requiring me to bring the documents in (so i am still waiting for my card to be mailed to me).

WHatever... switched to At&t prepaid for the time being with a new phone number.
Last night, I decided to factory reset my phone because it was running slow and I wanted a fresh install of IOS. Prior to factory resetting it, I went in and added the new phone number to my account under Sign in and Security in settings.

I got the little verification code.......and it added the phone number. Okay Cool....so i factory reset.
I got to sign into Icloud and I am locked out because it is trying to verify my account with the old phone number with T-mobile(that I dont have access to). I am confused?

What is the point of me adding the new At*t number to the account and it is not allowing me to sign-in with it?
I am freaking out because that Icloud has ALL my other emails attached(including my school and work emails) and my contaacts and I have no access to it. Thank God, my Icloud can be access from my Surface so i haven't lost access to the pics but now I am locked out of my account and I have no way to get back into it to verify i am who i say I am.
Any help would be great

You have hopefully added your new phone number here:
Settings > Apple ID > Login & Security > Two-factor Authentication under Trusted Phone Number

If you have just added your phone number under "E-Mails & Phone number" then that is why you do not receive the 2 factor code. If you've added the number in the right place, try pressing "Didn't get the code?" and select the phone number that you have added.

Ahhhh i really want to yell out a very bad word so i will settle with Frick.

Is it going to be posisble to get the account back?

Talk to t-mobile and see if you can get your number transfered or a pay n go with that number from them. You need the old number to be able to authenticate.
You could try and add a number via your Surface if that is a trusted device, not sure if it will require you authenticating via MFA, but worth a try.

If you have a recovery contact you can use that person to recover your account. If you don’t and haven’t enabled advanced data protection, you can try using Apple’s account recovery. That can take several days though and isn’t guaranteed to work.

It literally took a week but i am back in my icloiud account (THANK GOD) and i have learned a lot from this.

For anyone who reads this....

If you change your number for whatever reason make sure you update your trusted phone number so you can log back in.
