In a cup of orange juice.
This game is coming to the PC on October 26th, then later to OS X!

This in my selfish opinion is the ONLY good news today, everything else is bleh in comparison.

Anyways, if you're a Monkey Island, or any early Lucas Arts fan like I am, and you also like Diablo of any flavor, then buy this freaking game when it's available! :)

I pre-ordered it via Steam for my PC, but I look forward to also being able to play it on my MacBook Pro.

THE BESTEST BEST NEWS TODAY!!!

ONLY ONE DAY LEFT!!!! I really hope that everyone here has asked for the 26th off -- I did, I asked myself and got permission -- and pre-ordered their own prescious copy of DeathSpank AND of course a copy for at least one friend!

Here's the store link if you missed it. AND as mentioned, it is coming to the Mac, so buying this game for Steam will give you access to that version in the future, but WHY NOT PLAY IT NOW...! :)

Have this game on PS3!
It is amazing, I am not going to buy it again as I prefer PS3
Would recommend it to anybody though such a great play :)

13 days until it's released on the platform where it belongs. So if anybody here is a REAL gamer, has a heart, and wants world peace, this is the game to buy!!!

Holy crap ... I pre-ordered it as soon as it went up, but didn't pay attention to the date! Will likely still be immersed in ArcaniA and Fallout:New Vegas ... but really looking forward to this!

I just ordered the "Shank n' 'Spank" combo. 22 EUR for the two games is quite cheap, I think.

Even though only Deathspank has been announced for OS X, I believe Shank to be "simple enough" that I can run it through Crossover if it's not ported.

Sam here, I also ordered The Shank n' Spank combo. :)

@ roadbloc,

How could you not know? Every game that was Ron's back in the eighties and early nineties on my C64 and PC are in my top-ten -- which is probably about 11 now, so he has my unconditional loyalty.

From the comments I've read on Twitter, they say the Mac version is coming soon.

Now I'm pretty sure that soon is this year, because on Ron's site, he states the PC's release date, then the [REDACTED] version later this year. Since the Mac is the only other version coming at this time, I'd say that's what he's referring to.

Anyways.... It's a STEAM GAME, so if you buy it on the PC you'll be able to play it on your Mac when it's released, since there's a Mac version. ;)

I played until the weeeee hourse this morning. The game has all that charm I loved about Lucas Art's old graphic adventures, particular Ron's games, but it's also DIABLO on drugs. :) The music is awesome! :D

This game has some hilarious parts! If you laughed at Monkey Island 1 and 2, the humor in this game will be familiar!

Anyways GREAT GAME thus far!! BUY IT PEOPLE!! DO IT NOW!!!!!!! I want SEQUELS as I'm selfish!!! :)

I don't wait for making mac os version for it. just play PC version already. don't care which platform. it doesn't matter anymore since I have PC laptops, two macs (macbook pro 15inch, imac).

Ha, pretty much the same here. :)

I'm a PC guy since DOS 2.2 and a Mac guy since System 7 (Where as I had one in a paying situation, so not just school.).

Anyways, did you buy it? :D

It's just like Diablo 2, but with Monkey Island(Ron Gilbert) HUMOR smeared all over it! There, I corrected you. ;)

Any humor won't do, because for the most part other developers really don't get what's funny... Well, they certainly haven't been able to make me laugh like Mr. Ron has in the past 20 years.

And since you know the game is like Diablo, then you know it was meant to be played with a mouse... So you should buy it again for Steam!

DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue will be available on Steam PC on the 30th AND both the first AND the second will be available for the Mac on December 14th! :)

If you like Diablo type gaming, but with the humor of the old Lucas Arts graphic adventures, then you can't go wrong!

The first was a blast!!!

Awesome ... I really enjoyed the first, so it was great to see the followup coming so soon - and also to see it coming to the Mac! I'll probably wait for a sale since I just finished the first one and still have such a backlog ...

I'm backloged on games also, especially since most of my friends and I are no doing the BattleNet 2 thing with StarCraft 2.

It was on sale for $13.49. :)

Anyways, it's past midnight, why can't I play it?!! :(

DAMMIT! :D

I was able to play the first DS at about 3 am-ish, so was clicking like a mofo on this one last night, but NOTHING. :( Anyways, I needed to sleep, so called it a night.

Now I'm off to pick up Epic Mickey! :D Then meetings, then I'll get on DS:ToS later tonight!
