I've been trying to install a .deb file (macx4, to be exact) but have been unsuccessful. I've tried iFunBox and iSpirit but they both can't install it for some reason. Am I doing something wrong or is there another way?

I use iFile. In iFile, tap on the file then select Installer. After its done, respring/reboot if required. Pretty straightforward. Just make sure to remove any version you might have installed via Cydia.

maybe you are missing dependencies for this tweak/app/etc

My phone has no Wi-Fi functionality so I am unable to access Cydia the normal way.

I don't understand.

for certain tweaks, they rely on other tweaks known as dependencies. for example, to install SBSettings, you need to have libhide, mobile substrate, shell-cmds, libactivator, and wee loader installed already

just curious but why does your phone have no wi-fi functionality?

opening cydia, i search for macx4 and find "macX4 MAC Changer (iOS 4)", is that what you are trying to install?

In order to install iFile, you must have the dependencies file-cmds, zip, unzip, p7zip, gzip, bzip2, unrar, and diskdev-cmds installed already (going about the way you are installing the packages which is one at a time). If you install any tweak/app using cydia, it installs it all (the tweak itself and the dependencies) at once for you
