decent login setup tutorial? (PHP/MySQL)

Hey folks,

im trying to set up a simple login system for use with some sites im working on so that admins to update their pages easily... i dont have alot of experience in this sort of thing and am really only getting started with php/MySQL, ive looked around for a decent tutorial on how to set something like this up with sessions but i am thus far unable to make any of them work properly. any ideas?
