Don't step into the kawoosh...
My churches projector had an accident and has to be replaced but unfortunantly that wont happen for a while as the budget does not allow.

What i need is some suggestions fo decent projectors in the $1500 range or less. The one we have currently is this one.

We are replacing it because the VGA port no longer works all the time. It flakes in and out.

Thanks

First, you probably need to decide if you'd prefer a DLP or LCD projector. Both have their technical advantages, but the former are much smaller and lighter. I just bought an InFocus LP 70+, a very compact DLP projector. Refurbished, I got it for around $850.00.

to be totaly honest i probably have not done enough reading about projectors.

The one we have now is used for Church services and family movie night. During church we put the announcements up on it, along with all the songs and that kinda stuff. Family movie night is exactly what it sounds like; we hook up a DVD player to the projector and project the movies onto a screen.

I guess i am asking what is the best i can get for the money!!

Thanks
