Decide to new iphone or not

Hi, Im newbie here. I think this website is cool.

I've got someone who can do unlock iphone turn into 'O2' pay as you go for me. But I told him to hold on for while until I'm decide whatever I want buy iphone from him or not. At the moment Im still not sure. Is unlock iphone good worth or bad risk?

I have been search website looking for some answers before I decide buy one or not.

Here I would like ask few question :-

Q1) Is 8GB pently of space use for a lot 3rd party download applications software like SDK.

Q2) Is internet and road map are free on pay as you go sim? - Really Im heavy user internet while Im travel a lot. so I dont want end eating up my credit bill over that internet.

Q3) How good realible iphone internet get singal on road, bus, open country etc. Or do I have to find near some place have link wifi like weatherspoon pub, starbuck

Q4) When proper iphone will release on pay as you go in UK retailer shop coming soon this year or next year or never won't relase? just guess

I would appricate for help answers.

Q1) unless you are going to put music onto it, even 4GB is enough for just software.

Q2) Since the iphone is not setup as a PAYG phone, I would think its safe to assume that this would cut into your minutes or just not work at all since the iphone needs to have the 'iphone data plan' to work properly.

Q3) As with any phone, signal depends on your location and the location of cellphone towers, so if you're getting cell service, the internet will work just fine.

Q4) 06/09/09. my guess and hey....it is a tuesday

And you don't need a friend to unlock it for you. Just use Ziphone which unlocks it 2 clicks of your mouse button, it couldn't be any easier!

I3eXa: I presume you're American, with your silly date formatting. The 9th of June is in fact a monday, my birthday in on sunday the 8th, so tuesday the 10th sounds great to me

Q1) I dont use music download a lot because Im deaf. So I like 3rd party applicaton download. Maybe video & Photo might will do.

Q2) Currently my very old mobile Nokia 6230i with PAYG oringal sim card. I wanted use this my old sim card into new iphone. Will it work ok?

Q4) Is that your best guess. Me think year 2015 LOL.

Hi jontucker - Yeah but I rather someone expert do it than I am and Also There no free handset iphone around shop UK yet. But thank anyway. Ive been look up here forum. Most people use either Jailbreak, Ziphone or XLibrity. Is that same method popular one.

correct if your talking about 2008, but i was talking 2009 ^^^see??? and yes, I am still stuck with imperial measurements and weird date formatting...sorry.

Honestly, I have the 4GB and if ur talking videos, I'd go for the 16GB since it will fill up fast. The iphone will only work with an 'iphone' designed sim card which you can either activate online via itunes or hack it with InDependence, iliberty, or ziphone. Feel free to try that old sim if you are going to get an iphone anyways, but i'm 99% sure it won't work.

Q1) 8 is nice but jump for the more space, u can hold all your music library and as many movies as u want, tvshows, the more space the merrier. your alredy spending 400, migth as well spend a little more fordouble the space

Q2) i dont think pay as u go is internet friendly but im unfamiliar with it, maybe thee is an internet pay as you go, i bet there is.

Q3) in the states its nice, but you should wait for the 3g version around june time, it is more compatable with o2's network

Q4) considering the cost of the iphone and they sell it at quite the gain and loss, they make deals with carriers and they dont seem to be abandoning that system.


bottom line its a fine phone, works in elevators
wait for the 3g version, you will be way happier
