Looking for a router and I think I'v narrowed it down to 2 selection...

Which do you think is better? :)

D-Link DIR-859:

Linksys EA7300:
http://www.linksys.com/us/p/P-EA7300/

D-Link:
- pros: on sale at a local store until tomorrow <$100 CDN
- cons: no usb, no beamforming

Linksys:
- pros: usb, beamforming
- cons: more expensive ~$170 CDN

Will connect Macbook by wifi, old android phone by wifi and Windows PC by ethernet. The router usb could come in handy in the future.

I have had good luck with both D-Link and Linksys. I currently have the Linksys EA8500 and it works really well.

Like most things, you get what you pay for. If you buy a $40 Linksys router, you can likely expect it to be junk.

You should consider every possible use when deciding on your router. I have the Linksys WRT1900AC v1 and it won't allow me to host my own VPN on the local network. That surprising info wasn't available at the time of my purchase, unfortunately.
