Hello, I recently purchased the Macbook Pro 14" with the M3 Pro 11 core for $1439 and was wondering if I was better off returning it to purchase the Macbook Pro 14" with the M2 Pro 10 core for $1225 or the new Macbook Pro with the M4 10 core for $1439. My intended use case is for programming in VS Code.

You've got yourself a great machine. I don't think you'll notice a substantial difference between those 3 options. I say enjoy the one you have. I may be biased though, as it's the same one I have, that I bought 8 months ago...

CPU-wise you won't notice the difference. However, if the unified memory size in one of machines is double or at least 50% more compared to the others, I'd swap.

Off the top of my head, I think the M4 and the M2 Pro have 16GB, I know the M3 Pro has 18GB, so he’s got a good one.
(Obviously unless they’ve been custom ordered)

I wouldn’t consider the M2. The m4 is great but with your current machine you get more ram and a better gpu, with a negligible cpu difference. I would say stick with your current machine and enjoy!
