When checking out of Apple's online store for buying an iPhone, I find the options regarding AppleCare+ for "paid monthly till cancelled" to be rather vague. Has anyone navigated what I consider to be an atypically "it just doesn't work" aspect of Apple's online checkout method and found clarity?

A "pay-by-month-till-cancelled for AppleCare+" option appears only when one chooses the "pay in full" option."

The info presented when choosing the monthly Apple Card payments is very unclear, reading like AppleCare+ is solely only for just 24 months. Does anyone know if it continues indefinitely at $6.20 if the buyer does nothing after month 24? Talking with Apple help chat provided no clear guidance.

If one navigates the purchase process when in the Education store, it seems no monthly option is presented for the iPhone itself and/or AppleCare+ monthly:

The Apple team you want to call is the Applecare Administration Dept., not general support. You have to contact them via phone via the general support number and ask to be transferred. General support may attempt to answer your question, but insist (of course nicely) to be transferred to the AC Admin Dept. They're the true experts.

in regards to specifically paying in full with Apple Card OR monthly also with Apple Card I ran into it buying my M1 Max and it was explained to me clearly that it must be paid in full with Monthly payments option because of the 3% awarded upfront. Now it also was explained to me you can continue it after the 3 years are up by calling 1 before it expires. Also its $75 cheaper paying upfront for the 3 years on Mac versus $149 year?

Now realize its not a $4700 transaction but its same 3% that does this monthly O% payments changes the structured sale of item.

***mine was from Education Store so thats not a difference. But you can pay as long as you own item I was told.
Again it was explained to me that the offerings are only IN FULL if you choose monthly payments for item and by that I mean their 12 month 0% option.
