Default email

Hi, Can anyone offer me any advice please, I am using mac mini m1 and use Airmail for my email as I think apple mail is awful, however when I have to reply to certain people or try to contact companies by clickin on their email links then Apple mail opens instead of airmail.
I have searched for ways to make airmail my default but have not yet managed it, could anyone help please, thanks, Terry

If this is happening when you click on links in a web browser, you need to check the Preferences of the browser(s) you use. For example, in Firefox go to Preferences/General/Applications. Then set the "mailto" option to your preferred email application.

thanks for your reply, I use safari and have just checked preferences for this bt cant find anything related to this, thanks, Terry.

In Mail preferences you can set the global default mail app.
