After a Mac Genius restored my iPhone as a crash remedy, I forgot to reset my MAIL check settings. So I had 20 new emails that I didn't even know about! The mail setting on the iPhone is set to check mail Manually by default.

I know that what I did is probably like, "duh" to most. But I am busy and just didn't think of it. I was selling my other phone and thought no one wanted it because I wasn't getting responses. But there's a flood of interest in my In Box on the iPhone.

Just a heads up b/c there's quite a few iPhones with hiccups that may require a reset. I hope this was helpful. :)
