Back in the day of 1.x.x there was a hack to change the default google search page used in the safari google search box. This hack no longer seems to work.

So...

Is there a way to change the default google search page? I would rather have the mobile google page displaying results instead of the standard page.

A little help please?

I'd like to know this too. In the meanwhile I created a web clip to google and dragged it to my dock which sort of solves the problem.

Yeah, I have tried this option too but it's a little bit awkward. It opens a new tab and you have to wait for the page to load. Wheareas, with the the google search box, bam! it's there right away.

I guess there's no way to do this on 2.2?

If that's the case, then I ask all you hackers out there... please make a patch to change the default google search page.
