Default Speaker Frequency in Audio MIDI Setup

I have 2 identical 16-inch M1 Macbook Pros (a work machine and a personal machine). The speakers on the work machine always seem to have a bit more bass and I just realized that the Default Speaker Frequency (in Audio MIDI setup app) is set to 48,000 Hz on the work machine and to 44,100 Hz on the personal machine. I don't remember ever changing this setting - so I am curious, what is the factory default Frequency/Format set on other 16-inch M1 Macbooks? Would appreciate if folks can post their setting.

Mine is set to 48,000 Hz, and I've never even opened that app before...
