So I’m having a sweet fun time exploring my new iPP 12.9” and just realized that the default weather app, which was there in my previous 2018 iPP 11”, is gone and missing. I managed to find a separate link to the app in the app store but it says that this device is not compatible with the app - does anyone know any behind story here? And any suggestions for free weather app with beautiful widgets?

I don’t think there is a weather app with the iPad…? Has there ever been? There is a widget though….

There has never been a default Weather app for iPad. The widget really should still be there though. Open the Widget view, hit the plus to add one, scroll down to the list at the bottom - really should be there

There are ways to get the widget on an iPad. For example, if you restored your iPad from an iPhone backup, the widget gets "restored".

Shouldn't be necessary. While the weather app itself is not part of iPadOS the weather widget itself "SHOULS" be part of iPadOS no matter if it's a fresh install or a restore or whatever. Why it's not in this case I have no good explanation for
