Defeating Sonoma and its inane 4KSDR240FPS video wallpaper files

Nothing I can find will stop these from downloading. I tried shell scripts I found, etc...

Finally decided to replace them with files of the same exact file name. Another new one downloaded today.

Have you tried selecting a picture instead of a movie for your Wallpaper and ScreenSaver?

You can lock all the files in the folder /Library/Application Support/com.apple.idleassetsd/Customer

I'm using a solid dark gray color as my background. It downloaded a new 7th 800+MB file last night.
