Mine has the same thing. There's a bunch of places on the back of the case where the light from the display/apple logo shine through. You can really see it when the lights are off.

I'll post a picture of mine later.

Well, mine seems fine.. However, I do have 2 problems

Keyboard is very insensitive. I have to press very hard to get all letters to come out, or else the words will be abit broken...

Also, my screen alignment is off a little to the left =(

Will applecare cover these? I don't have an applestore in my country, just lots of authorised retailers.. Anyone experience the screen hinge alignment thingy?

I don't see why apple care wouldn't cover these. It is supposed to cover issues short of physical damage by user....and you guys cause these issues.

If the hinges are noticeably off, all you got to do is raise hell when you take it in for repair. People have mixed luck with the apple store genius bar, but if you do the mail in service, the techs may just say they do not notice a problem and ship the notebook back to you without repair. It is a tossup.

I have this problem as well all around the outside of the screen. It is completely see through in the dark. Did apple give you a replacement. I am almost debating sending it back and requesting an upgrade to the black.
