Hello,

I just bought the Airpods Pro MagSafe. I am very satisfied with them. Nevertheless, I have the impression that I have a defective case. Please tell me if this is normal or not.

- Monday night, I charge my case and my Airpods up to 100%.
- Tuesday evening, I use them for the first time since the day before and the full charge, I see that the case is at 88%.
- Wednesday morning, the case is at 83%.
- Thursday morning, it is at 78%.

Is this normal or should I be concerned? I bought them on Amazon. What should I do?

Thank you for your help.

When using wireless charging with the APP, there is circuitry that throttles the charging induction built in the case. I can watch mine via the charge light on my wireless charging pad. It will cycle on and off while the case is on the charger. If I connect via wired charging I could reach 100% but on induction (wireless) charging seldom reach higher than 88%. I believe the case throttles the charge to keep temperatures low.

This is copied from the Apple MagSafe description page:

The MagSafe Charger maintains compatibility with Qi charging, so it can be used to wirelessly charge your iPhone 8 or later, as well as AirPods models with a wireless charging case, as you would with any Qi-certified charger.

So the MagSafe charger works only as a standard QI charger with the AirPods wireless charging cases.
