Defective PowerBeats Pro? Won't connect to iPhone

I just bought the Powerbeats Pro (from Amazon, but brand new). I have the iPhone X, newest software. My phone just will not detect them. Yes, I charged them and yes I left them in the case and tried pushing the button.

I turned my phone on and off, turned Bluetooth on and off and they just won't show up. Any tips, or should I return them and get a new pair?

If they don't pair with any Bluetooth devices, return then for a refund or exchange.
