Delay in notification sounds?

Anyone else also experiencing delays in notification sounds playing? Like text message alert sounds, email and such. Sometimes there's a several second delay after a text comes in for the notification sound to play. Sometimes it doesn't sound at all. This is new to the iOS 9.0 upgrade.

Haven't noticed it, however sometimes I will receive alerts on my iPad before my iPhone

Yes I have noticed that. When listening to music via my earphones, and a message comes in, it reduces the music volume and then plays the notification sound - all within a split second. Prior to iOS 9 it did not do that.

My sounds are not working at all. I didn't notice it until I tried using the Map app.

I just downloaded the iOS 9.1 beta to see if this fixes the problem. Need to wait until my bf gets home and send myself a bunch of texts to test it out I guess since it's a random occurrence…

I think this is caused by the lagging that a lot of folks have been reporting since the iOS 9 upgrade.

I've gotten a few imessage and skype alerts since and they have all worked. Could be fixed or could just be luck at this point lol. I'll keep you posted

I have had this in ios 8 so it is nothing new.

Its not fixed in ios 9.1 for nonstandard apps. Dev's need to adopt their apps to run with 9 and 9.1

Then why is it not working for apples messaging app?

Yeah. I have issues listening to Apple Music.

I've tested it several times and it seems 9.1 has fixed the problem, I'll keep my fingers crossed…
