Delay when quitting Safari

Has anyone else encountered a time delay when quitting (command-q) Safari?

The word 'Safari' in the menu up top will be highlighted a good 3–5 seconds after the window disappears before it finally exits.

No. And in fact, this even occurs if I've closed out the window first (command-w).

Anyone else have an idea? Is this just a Yosemite UI lag?
