I am seeing a lot of people here on the forums who are able to pick up their new MacBook Pros today or having them delivered today. I ordered mine not even 10 minutes after the conference and mine shows it being delivered on the 17th with an original delivery date of the 18th. The latest update was from
11/14/2016 4:44 P.M. with an Export Scan from Shanghai, China. I ordered the higher spec model with no custom BTO changes so why is mine being delivered so much later than everyone else's? Anyone else in the same boat as me?

My guess is the stock models are being shipped to 3rd party companies they have contracts with and most only sell stock configs. Looks like Apple themselves focused on custom configs to get out first.

I ordered the exact same model 45 minuites after the seminar ended and my unit is apparently on same airplane as yours. Have same time export scan from Shanghai. Is your location on the West Coast USA? From other thread on this site, it appears that the first shipments were custom configurations. I assume you ordered the 15 inch model?

Same info, Seattle, 15" BTO, ordered within minutes of store opening. Had a confirmation mail at 11:28am pacific on keynote day, just for reference.

Looks like there's a batch of West Coast 15's all together.

I also am a little griped to wait for Thursday, though it's well within promised dates. Tough to watch others play with their new laptops, but that's just impatience talking.

Been waiting for this MacBook Pro for years so really wish I could have gotten mine today, but guess I will have to wait until Thursday

Trying looking on FlightAware but couldn't find this flight to track where it is

Nick, I ordered the same exact model and my tracking is exactly the same. We'll just have to wait... There are a lot of others who ordered early who haven't had theirs shipped yet. Just have to be patient... It's hard. :(

There is daily UPS flight that leaves at 9:30 PM (CST) for Anchorage. Today's flight should arrive there at about 1:10 PM (PST) . It then continues on a flight to the UPS hub in Louisville arriving there at about 11 PM (PST). The products indicated for delivery on Nov 17 should be on that flight. You can track on FlightAware. Google "UPS flights from Shanghai to USA".

Mine still shows the latest update as:
Shanghai, China 11/14/2016 4:44 P.M. Export Scan

Anyone else in this situation? Anyone know why this might be?

Same here. Can someone who has received their package indicate if this is last scan before Anchorage arrival or if there is a Shanghai departure scan after EXPORT SCAN?
[doublepost=1479233548][/doublepost]It appears that there should be a Departure scan when put on airplane in Shanghai. This means that our computers are still sitting in Shanghai. Here is a sample USP tracking I found posted.

I certainly hope this is not the case as that would mean they have not moved at all in over 24 hours

Sometimes the posting is delayed or a scan not made. If they are on the flight en route we should see an Anchorage scan about 2 PM this afternoon Pacific time. Per FlightAware the UPS flight en route is direct to Anchorage and on time.

My estimated delivery window isn't until in December. I wish it would bump up and come sooner. I could really use it as my current MBP is having troubles.

I ordered mine within the first hour as well. FEDEX is taking their sweet time. I will still get it on Nov. 17, which is the beginning of the delivery winner. Just impatient like many others here.

BTO 15" delivering to Hawaii.

Wondering if I should continue to wait, or look else where. As I stated already, my current MBP is having problems, and I have been crossing my fingers that it will keep working until I can figure out what to do. I am patient, but worried when my current might quit. Oh well, I guess I need to decide whether to cancel and go with something else or keep crossing my fingers that my current MBP keeps working until my order eventually comes.

Anyone's get shipped via DHL? Mine did. Very strange. Never had an Apple order to me use DHL, and I've ordered a LOT from them.

My status is stuck in Shanghai China since yesterday mid-day. No delivery date shown. No idea if this is normal. Never received a delivery from DHL that I recall?

If your destination is Europe no problem. If USA, DHL has limited resources.

After not moving from China for about 48 hours, it has finally updated with a Departure Scan from China
  • 11/16/2016 8:57 P.M.
BUT, now it's showing delivery as the 21st?!?! I certainly hope this is not the case and it gets into the US ASAP and adjusts the delivery date back to 17th or 18th at very latest. Anyone else in this situation?

Mine says exact same thing. The UPS My Choice still shows delivery on Nov 17 and I just received an E-Mail notice of the delivery. Service is indicated as EXPEDITED and the 17th is normal if flights on time. Flight to Anchorage is on time and will continue to Louisville from there with Louiville arrival at about 1 AM EST. The UPS flight schedule shows a flight leaving at about 3 AM EST for Portland, OR with 5 AM arrival on 17th. You can check UPS flight schedule for your major distribution city. With UPS MY CHOICE you can select 2 hr delivery window.

I ordered right after the keynote as well, and I haven't gone into P4S.

It could be a number of factors, including configuration, etc.

Same boat as you, order confirmation within 20 mins of keynote ending. Delivery says Nov. 17-23 Expedited and I am still in processing stage. 15" SG Maxed except 1 TB SSD.

I also got email from UPS My Choice about tomorrow, but am pretty sure this is just an automated email based on the original delivery date, let's keep our eyes out on the tracking and wish for the best!

Lucky you, I applied for financing through Barclay and when they approved, it changed my order date which I was told would not happen so I won't see any movement on my order until December. In fact December 19th at the earliest. Not happy as my current MBP is having troubles.
