Have an LG TV and a 2019 MacBook Pro. Is there a way to delete the LG TV listed on the airplay drop down menu?

The LG TV is "advertising" itself as an Airplay target. I think you would have to go to the LG TV's settings and look for a way to turn off its Airplay capability. Hopefully there is a way to turn it off there!

Thanks for the help - no luck. Tried removing code/settings from TV app, turning off within app, and restarting MBP. LG TV still is an option on the mirror device list - apparently Airplay devices are permanent and Bluetooth devices are not. If anyone has any other ideas that would be great - thanks.

Update - found more information. Didn't work for me but might for others. Apparently going to Finder, then Go to folder /library/audio/plug-ins/hal and delete the device there. Looks like "hal" is a hidden folder - but I don't have it for some reason. Searching elsewhere comes up blank - it is shown in audio settings but can't delete it there.
 
Did you go into the LG TV's settings? I don't mean the "Apple TV app" on your LG TV, but the settings that control the pyhsical TV device.

This youtube video shows how to disable Airplay on (I guess) a 2020 LG TV... have to go to Dashboard-->Airplay.

 
Much thanks. Whether AirPlay is "on" or "off" the LG TV still shows as a device on my Airplay list and in the sound settings. No way to remove it. Even selected remove from within the TV app - no luck. Searching spotlight doesn't show the device anywhere on my machine - puzzling indeed.
