I believe in the past, when I would get email notifications on my lock screen, I could swipe left and get a delete option to send the mail directly to the trash. Seems now (new iPhone 12, iOS 14.2), my only options on a left swipe are manage, view, and clear. Is there anyway to get a delete option back? Can't seem to find a fix for this in settings.

Sorry for the bump but this never got a reply and instead of making a new thread, I have the same question after switching back to Apple Mail recently.

You should be able to hold on an email notification and get a "Trash" option to delete the message. At least that's how it works for me on an XS (iOS 14.6) using Apple Mail with an outlook.com account. It opens a preview of the message, and below it is the option to delete.

That's odd, I'm not seeing that. I'm using an "Other" Gmail mail account (ie when setting up the account, I didn't select Gmail but rather Other so I can use an alias when sending emails). I do see the option on my Apple Watch though
