iPhone Delete email not bringing up next unread

I don’t know if this is a setting or if there is something wrong with my phone.

in iOS13 when I delete a email it no longer brings up the next unread email on my screen.

i readthe email, delete it and then have. A blank screen saying no message selected. I have to go back and the open the next email.
This is so so so so frustrating. Is this a new setting or is something wrong?

It’s a bug. It’s fixed in 13.1. My phone is running 13.0 and my iPad is running 13.1 Tuesday can’t get here fast enough.

Thanks. keep finding bug after bug after bus with 13. Personally, this is the worst iOS update ive ever experienced.

I’ve encountered a couple of bugs. But nothing show stopping. I also knew ahead of time what to expect with 13.0 and how bad mail was compared to 13.1. As I’ve been beta testing it on my iPad. So maybe that has a lot to do with my opinion of it in general.

To me 13.0 is not as bad as 11.0 or even 7.0. Those to me stand out as the worst iOS launches.

Dang and here I always thought it was a bug to automatically open another email when I delete one.
