As the title suggests. When I delete an email in Mail.app it gets moved to the trash. When I log in to the MobileMe webapps, those messages are still sitting in my inbox. There are also versions of them in the trash, which I assume have got there through syncing with Mail.app. Is anyone else experiencing this shenanigans? Does anyone know of a fix?

I'm inclined to let all problems go for a week or so to give Apple/everyone a chance to get accustomed to the new system, but this is quite irritating.

Thanks!

I see this same behavior in MM when deleting from the iPhone. To resolve it, I synchronize the mail account in the mail.app on my mac. This same behavior also occurred with the .mac service.

I have the same thing happening to me. For whatever reason, it takes MobileMe forever to update whereas my iPhone and Mac update pretty quick. Even when creating mailbox folders on my Mac, it syncs to my iPhone within seconds but on MobileMe it doesn't update for a long while.

Hopefully, these issues will improve. I've kind of relaxed myself over all of this and will give it some time.

Thanks for the help guys. Unfortunately it's not a problem with the sync interval - the messages I deleted from Mail.app are still showing on Me.com today, and that's 12 hours (48 sync cycles) later! I've emailed Apple's customer support, so hopefully we can get a fix, or at least bring the issue to their attention. I'm not holding out much hope, though.

Maybe I could try deleting and re-adding the mailbox? I'm still hoping it's just a case of teething problems, and something that will be massively improved over the coming days.

And BruinEcon08, my settings are exactly the same as yours! Weird how it's working for some but not for others.

Sorry to revive an old thread but has this been solved? I have noticed that when I delete mail from my phone, it is still left in the Inbox at me.com. There is also a copy of the most recent deleted items in the Trash folder.

Has there been a fix??

No. Still waiting. Was not fixed in 2.01 Firmware update.

A little workaround that I didn't see mentioned in the above posts that I've found.

After deleting the email(s) from your phone, log into me.com and delete just one of the deleted emails on your phone that still show in the Inbox at me.com. Once you delete one of the emails, the whole Inbox will refresh and match the phone's Inbox.

Hope this helps until a real fix is out.

Agreed. Also, I use Outlook Mail Client and it will clean it up as well. I actually don't use the web interface that often.

I too have this problem

I keep delting file that were created on my server but they keep pro creating and new emails are appearing in these files. Not sure why they keep going there as I have turned off all of my rules.

I hink it may have to do with two of everything related to mail was generated when I 1st got this computer and tried to transfer over Mail library to this computer.

I thought I could just delete the files I did not want but looks like there is more to it.

Can some one tell me how to start over with mail on this computer without loosing all my emails in those broken files?

Thanks
