delete key pushed down

i have searched for a couple days and cant seem to find anything on this..
i bought my first mac a black macbook back in april when i was in last vegas.

well the other day for the first time i noticed my delete key is lower than any other key on the keyboard. it just feels weird. it doesnt push in as far as any other key. and every time i hit it it just feels wrong...

so here is my question. was the keyboard always this way and i just never noticed it or has the key become broken to the the extent of it not poping back up as far as it should....i mean it works fine just doesnt feel like the other keys.

anyone else have a problem with keys on a keyboard that are not even?

yes my down button was pushed down and not even, I just pushed it down with some force and I heard a pop and when I let go the key was normal.
